Dosage adjustment for kidney impairment - a further innovation from PEDeus: for children and adults
Adjusting the dosage for patients with kidney impairment is a challenging and resource-intensive task. Particularly in children, the calculation is so complex that no clinical decision support tool has so far been developed for this purpose. PEDeus once again takes on a pioneering role, by being able to facilitate your daily work. In the future, you will be able to enter laboratory parameters in addition to patient data – such as serum creatinine, cystatin C or the already estimated glomerular filtration rate. PEDeDose then automatically calculates the adjusted dosage – either by reducing the single dose or extending the dosing interval. Moreover you receive information about nephrotoxic drugs or active ingredients that are not recommended for patients with kidney impairment.
A particular advantage: this function is not only available for children, but also for adult patients with kidney impairment.
